Courtney Brooks oversees Huhem Law Firm, PLLC’s Eviction Appeals, Bankruptcy, Civil Litigation, Foreclosure, Small Claims & Multi-Family Housing Departments. Ms. Brooks also advocates for Huhem Law Firm, PLLC clients in eviction hearings in the DFW metroplex. Ms. Brooks is also also the firms Marketing and Client Relations Coordinator.
Ms. Brooks received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas in 2011. While obtaining her undergraduate degree she was a research assistant to Dr. Kaminski and made significant contributions to the dissertation research of Dr. Elissa Woodruff. Ms. Brooks later went on to obtain her post baccalaureate Paralegal Certificate at the University of North Texas in 2014. Currently, Ms. Brooks is a graduate student at American Public University and will obtain her Master of Arts in Legal Studies in 2017. Prior to her employment with Huhem Law Firm, PLLC Ms. Brooks was a Sr. Foreclosure Litigation Paralegal at Nationstar Mortgage LLC where she managed a case load of over 550 litigation cases in various states across the United States and Puerto Rico.
Ms. Brooks is currently a member of the Texas State Bar Paralegal Division. She is also an active member of the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas’ Echo Committee which is a young professional’s leadership group that allows its members to get involved in all aspects of the Association. This group focuses on social media marketing, networking opportunities, community service, education and legislative issues involving the multi-family community.« Back to Attorneys Page
